Parkbench is interested in hearing from:

Literary translators working from any language into English. Only native English-speakers with experience working on creative texts for publication will be considered. A relevant degree is a plus, and all specialities are of interest. Only candidates with relevant experience and references will be considered. Please have a look at the translation page before applying. Note that we are only accepting applications from translators working into English at this time.

Editorial freelancers with experience working for publishers, literary agents and the arts. Only candidates with relevant experience and references will be considered. Please have a look at the editorial page before applying.

Email Nora Mahony at info@parkbenchps.com with a brief cover letter describing your work to date, your CV and your references. Please include a sample translation if applicable.

Looking for work experience?

Parkbench is not currently hiring interns or students on work experience, as we are an international network of independent freelancers. Literary translators and those interested in the editorial side of publishing are well advised to gain experience in-house in publishing, and if you are based in the UK or plan to be, consider joining the Society of Young Publishers to avail of their events, jobs database and networking opportunities.
